Description: Senior level construction Inspector opening supporting water treatment plant expansion and upgrade. High value and high profile project. Will oversee general contractors work during construction phases.

The work site is in Spotsylvania Viginia, Compensation for daily travel possible

MUST HAVE: Water treatment or wastewater plant construction experience

This inspector will perform inspections of the general contractor's work at the treatment plant during upgrades and expansion.

Upgrades include infrastructure expansion, electrical upgrades, and SCADA system upgrades.

- Under direct supervision, performs construction inspections of basic to moderate complexity. Evaluates the condition of the structure. Documents deterioration, structural condition, and any needed sampling. Documents deficiencies between design and execution of construction. Performs other duties as required. Upon discovery of deficiencies or issues with construction work, provides reports to project leadership.

- Implementing the construction inspection plan, inspects contractor work efforts, evaluates progress of work, and solves problems.

- Performing complex and routine/standard inspections of construction to evaluate if appropriate materials and construction processes are used; and that construction conforms to plans, specifications, and special provisions.

- Using higher grade of equipment and performs complex calculations to perform inspection.

- Reviewing drawings to prepare for the inspection.

- Understanding the design of the construction that will be inspected.

- Documenting the results of the inspection and communicates to the supervisor.

- Conducting field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation as well as other contract administration documentation.

High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent. 10 years of related experience. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
